Without the dome sprung structure in place for this winter, we are planning to house the popular Sky Kids’ program in a portable classroom this season. We were able to get a pad built for the Sky Dome this summer and hope to have the new facility open for next year’s program.
Progress toward getting the 30-foot by 70-foot dome sprung structure ready in time for this winter was slowed by the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s water tank construction and permitting issues related to a sprinkler system.
While the fundraising campaign for the dome closed last spring after raising over $14,000, Sky Tavern is still accepting contributions, as the total project cost will likely be twice that amount. If you would like to help, please use the online donation form below, or ask for your donation to earmarked for the Sky Dome if you give via phone or mail. All donations are being held in a reserved account until we are able to put the dome up, so your gift will be used for this project.
