Designed as a series of progressive trails, Sky Tavern plans to develop the only bike park in the area offering terrain where riders build upon on their skills, graduating from beginner to intermediate and advanced levels. With something for everyone, the Sky Tavern Mountain Bike Park will feature an extensive network of flow and technical trails, skills building area, pump track for Strider bikes, and a dual slalom course.
This past summer, Sky Tavern’s Mountain Bike Park opened its freshly built flow trail to host a Liv/Giant Demonstration Day. Gathering in the aspen grove, participants were able to talk to industry professionals about changing technology, what bikes would best suit their needs, and then hit the trails to actually feel how these changes could improve their riding. The highlight of the demo day was a free women’s clinic, which attracted an eager group of women riders. Led by Liv’s Ash Bocast, the group received coaching and went through a progression of techniques while riding the the latest bikes.
Looking ahead to 2017, Sky Tavern will continue its trail expansion and hold a series of demo days and events. Whether learning to ride a mountain bike or already skilled on two wheels, the area is sure to provide a fresh, friendly mountain bike experience for everyone.
