Sky Tavern puts the real outdoor world back into kid’s lives: slide, fall down, giggle, laugh, and make snow angels. They learn new skills, make friends, and lead healthy, happier lives. This is what you can make happen with a grant of $1,000 to $10,000.
As of December 2016, our current funding priorities are:
Sky Tavern needs additional funding to install a donated 30-foot by 70-foot dome sprung structure to house its Sky Kids program for ages 3-5. While the online fundraising campaign for the dome closed in spring 2016 after raising over $14,000, Sky Tavern still needs $10,000 to complete the project.
More than 200 children and families have already applied for financial aid this winter. $1000 sponsors five kids, covering all of their program costs and equipment leases.
Sky Tavern needs $3,000 to cover the permitting, machinery, and installation of power to the terrain park’s mountain cafe. This installation will also provide power to a future handle tow lift. The labor for this project has already been donated.
The mountain’s two Poma lifts are also in need of improvements. $10,000 will provide new bullwheel liners and lift alignment.
