How To Become A National Ski Patrol Member

Become a certified instructor

“Share your knowledge. It is a way to achieve immortality.”
Dalai Lama XIV

Skiing may not be a way to immortality but it is good for body and soul. Sharing that with others is a close second.
At Sky Tavern

Being a member of the Ski Patrol means something. It means dedication to help making snowsports safe and helping when things don?t go as expected. It means being able to ski anywhere, any time and bringing high skills of outdoor emergency training with you. It means being able to do for someone else when they most need it. And it means having a lot of fun too!

If you would like to join those that proudly wear the cross on the slopes, Sky Tavern has a program for both young adults and those older for membership, and certification. Medical and on the hill training are both involved and the process takes time and commitment, but is very rewarding. The skills you gain are something you can carry with you the rest of your outdoor time and may lead to a career in medicine for a young adult. Sky Tavern will start ski patrol training at age 15. Space is limited.

Please email patrolprogram@skytavern.com to get started.

Chairlifts are the real social network above 7000 feet. Life lessons get shared in a nine minute ride to the top by both kids and adults. Results are priceless. Go ski or board!
